Yu Mizutani focuses on capital markets and U.S. securities law matters in addition to cross-border commercial transactions, M&A and other general corporate matters.

Yu began his career in the New York and Tokyo offices of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where he worked with issuers and underwriters in the United States and Japan on a wide range of equity, debt and derivatives transactions. Before joining southgate, Yu worked at Monroe-Sheridan Foreign Law Office in Tokyo on capital markets transactions, cross-border M&A and other general corporate matters.
